Increase the number of questions
Increase the number of questions in forms
I "think" that you could possibly use less questions if you use different types of questions. For example, if you have a series of questions that supply the same list of options for a response, use a likert survey question. That one "one" question could possibly reduce the total number of questions. Or, if you use the radio buttons for yes, no, don't know, don't ask why if "don't know" is selected. When the form is submitted just have an auto generated email with a link to a different form asking for more details. This is where the text questions would go.This will eliminate branhing to a set of text response questions.
Honestly, if I was sent a form with 140 questions on it, I'd probably just ignore it. Making a form easy for the respondents, in my opinion, produce better results by creating a greater number of respondents providing more accurate responses.
we use these forms for reporting purposes - with the skip logic branching included - to gather all the possible pieces of information to support the branching, you need more than 100 questions - other survey tools permit this
I ask questions on my form, send it to clients for their evaluation and find that forms has reduced the number of questions the client can answer. Eg I set a form for 10 questions but the client only gets to answer 3, leaving 7 unanswered?! Very, very frustrating, especially when as business users we pay a lot of money for these services.
I really love microsoft form. The form looks nicer and friendly in mobile phone as compared to GF. But the number of question is too limited. I need at least 150 questions for a need assessment because i have a lot of questions where people need to fill in the type program they attended, n rate the program. 1 question when doing manually becomes 2 questions in any online forms.
