When you delete a question, if any responses were given to that question, those responses are deleted.

Just awful. Please look at what Google Forms does and learn. Thanks!

This just caused me to lose a bunch of valuable data for a hiring screening survey. One-click delete with no confirmation or warning. This is honestly absurd....

Yes this is a big gap that just resulted in me losing 235 responses

Please update this functionality Microsoft, why would you allow the form to delete the responses when you delete a question from the form that already has responses.

Sorry Microsoft a very bad implementation. Beginners at work! To be able to delete questions that contains already answers without a warning is negligent!!

An incredibly grave oversight regard users recovering data. A warning to a user should be implemented. Complete and irrecoverable removal of data on an already answered question should not be accepted as a defacto standard on the platform. How much info is required to be deleted before Microsoft implements some measure of data recovery....

This is very much still an issue.
There is no warning that all previous responses to a question will be deleted when the question is deleted, and there looks to be absolutely no way to recover this data!
