Issue - Restrictions make the field mandatory

I have a field that have a restriction.
The number must be between 0 and 300. This field is not mandatory but if let this field empty I have a message that I need to fill this field with a number 0 and 300...
The restrictions should by apply only if the field is filled or mandatory.
If it's not mandatory and not filled we should't have a restriction.

    How is this still an unresolved issue? I created a ticket regarding this issue and the Microsoft support technician told me that they received the same issue in their test environment and see it as a "product limitation" and left it at that.

    OMG, this is shocking. Restriction should have nothing to do on whether a field if mandatory or not. Does Microsoft even TEST their products before releasing?! What an embarrassment.

    I also met this one and I suggested that there should allow blank input for Numbers!

    I also experience sames issue,
    the number only restrictions force the question to be mandatory.

    I am having this issue as well. You have described the problem exactly correct and I agree with your understanding of how it should work.

How it works

  • Create a user account if you want to add a new suggestion or vote on existing suggestions.
