Ability to change date format to correspond to the user's region
Hi. In the question type where a date is required currently the only option (as far as I can see) is the US format. Can you kindly give us the ability to choose the region settings for this please? Thanks.

Allow for a dropdown box
It would be nice to have a drop down box for users to be able to select one or more choices instead of having to look at a long list of options. It makes the survey appear longer than it is and crowds the page.

More Field Types
More types of fields with richer options must be available.
If Forms is meant to compete with market leaders in this sector, it cannot offer just 4 types of fields it currently offers. See attached screen shots of how many types of field other services are offering. Also, you need richer options. For example: you cannot offer only one type of date formatting. We use dd/mm/yyyy in Europe. Americans use the mm/dd/yyyy. The form creator must be able to define the desired format.
In general, we need more types of fields and more advanced control options for each type of…

Add Check Box
Add an option for a simple check box instead of just radio button selections. This would be more useful when creating a true form type entry and not a quiz or survey where you may have multiple choice.

New field type: Person lookup
Hi,
It would be very useful to be able to have a lookup field for looking up persons in the organization. Similar to the Person field type in Sharepoint.408 votes -
have matching as a question option for quizzes.
I would like to have a question type where students taking the quiz can match items from one column with items in another column.

Allow multiple Text Box Answers to the same Question
I am currently using Microsoft Forms to design not Quizzes, but Exams Assessments for client solution. However, it would be great if questions such as:
List 2 duties that should done as an employee?
a) TextBox
b) TextBoxor
What does SOS stand for?
S: TextBox
O: TextBox

Make different (more) questiontypes so that teachers could make more exiting tests for their students.
Here it would be nice to be able to have the students change the order of different words.
Connect one word from one collumn to another word in a second collumn. The same connection possibilities between pictures and words, and between pictures in two different colmumns.
Have the possibility to let students choose a word in a scentence from a drop down menu.
Have the computer randomize the order of the questions, and to have the computer to pic the number of questions (random pic) form the total number (fex. 30 of 50 questions).
Set a limit on how many…

User Lookup Text Field
It would be great if a field (question) existed that would allow lookup of a User in the organization.
Example: using forms to create a time off entry, and requiring their supervisor name would perform a lookup based on the text entered; allowing a user to click on the name and thus capture their email address automatically.228 votes -
provide the ability to copy and paste a pre-existing list into a drop-down list
I would like the ability to copy and paste a list from Excel or Word and provide it as the selections to choose from in a drop-down list.

Add voice recording to Microsoft forms
I would love to be able to record the questions on quizzes that I create for students. Some of my students struggle with reading, and this would enable to them to complete the quiz independently and at their own pace.

Restrictions
It would be good if there were other restriction options other than just on 'numbers'. For example, I often want to restrict the number of words/characters for a response to avoid overly lengthy responses.

Change question type
Once you have selected a question type, text or choice, would it be possible to change on a future date?
For example if I set a form with a text as a required answer, after a number of people have answered the question i could use the data to change the question into a multiple choice

Provide a quicker way to add multiple options in an "option" style question
Many times, the list of options for a question of type "option" comes from some external source. Occasionally there are relatively many options (e.g.: a list of class members)
At this time, the only way to add them, is to repeatedly click "add option" and enter the text.
It should not be hard to create a way to paste a delimited text that adds all "items" as options to the question (and from there on, it's probably not hard to create even better options).Note: even better would be if you could point Forms to an existing file (e.g. some…

Specify a certain number of choice of one answer
Limit number of choices in multiple choice
In Microsoft Forms currently it is possible to have multiple choice questions were we can set only one choice or many choices. I would like to see an option were we can have specified number of choices allowed, say 2, 3 or 4 out of the available options. Instead of One or all.128 votes
