9,986 votesDear Forms customers,
Thanks for your patience for the long wait on file upload.

Folders
Right now all the Forms are just in one page and I cannot move them. I have 5 different content classes and I can't search for the Form that I need in an efficient manner. Please create folders that we can label and move forms into. Just like a regular folder on a desktop. It is just a random list. No organization, not efficient, not going to be easy to use in the future.

Print the Form (not only results, just the empty form)
The empty form in Forms would be possible to print or export as an PDF.

3,969 votesDear user,
Thanks for all great feedback on Forms. We hear, we care and we are open to any inspiring ideas.
We’d be greatly grateful if you could take 2 mins to fill this short survey or share to anyone looking for text formatting/font.
Thank you!

Allow form respondents to save and continue to fill the form later
Allow students to save results without submitting test for students with accommodations to finish later. Students with extended time sometimes have to finish at a later time and the way it is set up now they have to restart the test each time.

Allow pre-populated data via URL parameter
It would be helpful to be able to add a GET value to the share link to provide default answers to questions. E.g., ?q1=default&q2=default2

Take Forms to the next level
This would be invaluable with a few additions:
1) Checkboxes (not just radio)
2) email alerts when completed to Form owner(s)
3) Ability to attach files (20-50mb)
4) Ability to turn completed forms into tasks or "to do lists"
5) "if this... then" when creating the questions would be great. So some questions might "unlock" other questions.(slightly different than branching).
6) ability to link dates to a shared calendar (making due dates and reminders possible3,588 votesDear Forms users,
We are working on the whole sharing and collaborating experience. Hugely appreciated if you could take 3 mins to fill out the survey:

ability to e-mail user's responses back them
ability to e-mail user's responses back them, of course the user has to put the e-mail as on of the questions. Also a way to put this at the end of form. "A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided." MICROSOFT FORMS MUST be better than Google forms/surveys! Google forms has that option. See example.
2,700 votesDear Microsoft Forms customer,
We are working on email receipt v2 recently. Based on your comments, we consider to iterate this feature which can match your requirements.
This survey is to understand your needs on response receipt in Forms. We really appreciate you could take 1-2 minutes to fill the survey. Here is the link: https://aka.ms/emailreceiptv2

Add a Signature field
The ability to add signatures to the form will allow better audit control and can be introduced on mobile devices as well as via image attachment at desktop. This will also allow the application to complete more closely with forms created in adobe fill and sign.

Connect results to Excel as a data source rather than opening a new workbook each time
The form is great in terms of collecting responses. That said, if you need to view all the data at once, you need to open the form results in Excel. If you do that, it appears to open a separate result each time. There is no way to edit the results workbook. For example, I want to add a column to the results where I can keep track of whether or not I have contacted the person since they have filled out the form. If I add that column to the table, it will be gone when I next click…
2,307 votesHi Forms users,
Thanks for using Microsoft Forms and providing feedback.
We just enabled a new feature “Forms for Excel” for all Microsoft Forms customers. When you create Forms for Excel in your OneDrive for Business / modern SharePoint team sites, you will get an Excel workbook at the same time. All the responses data will show up in your Excel workbook in real time.
You could get more detail from – https://aka.ms/formsforexcel
Please be free to leave comments if you have any question.

Ability to change date format to correspond to the user's region
Hi. In the question type where a date is required currently the only option (as far as I can see) is the US format. Can you kindly give us the ability to choose the region settings for this please? Thanks.

Templates
Instead of creating a new form for every class scheduled, create a number of template forms that can be opened, modified, personalized if necessary before sharing.
We make email templates for repeated emails, we make word templates for repeated items, why not forms?
2,142 votesDear Forms user,
Greatly appreciated for sharing the feedbacks in the survey and comments. Given we’ve heard many inspiring suggestions, this survey is closed.
Next step, we are driving the effort to onboard template to Forms users soon.

Edit Response
Allow responders to edit responses after submission. For example, if a student is taking a quiz and is unable to finish before the end of class, the student can submit the quiz to save their answers and then continue the quiz during the next class period.

Allow for a dropdown box
It would be nice to have a drop down box for users to be able to select one or more choices instead of having to look at a long list of options. It makes the survey appear longer than it is and crowds the page.

More Field Types
More types of fields with richer options must be available.
If Forms is meant to compete with market leaders in this sector, it cannot offer just 4 types of fields it currently offers. See attached screen shots of how many types of field other services are offering. Also, you need richer options. For example: you cannot offer only one type of date formatting. We use dd/mm/yyyy in Europe. Americans use the mm/dd/yyyy. The form creator must be able to define the desired format.
In general, we need more types of fields and more advanced control options for each type of…

Randomly chose a number of questions for a quiz from a pool of questions
I would like to create a pool of questions and Microsoft Forms should randomly chose a number of questions from this pool for a quiz.
So if I need a quick test for my students I could just tell Microsoft Forms to take 10 questions from a certain pool randomly.1,770 votes -

After each Question, I would love to have a " Add Comment" section so that the answerer can put a comment/explanation for his/her answer.

Advanced Branching -Enable ability to skip/hide questions
Currently, branching works best when only two branches exist. Forms should be able to support more than two branches for a question. The end goal is to hide all irrelevant questions based on a user's response to a previous question.
Below is a example question for this use case:
Q: Please select your preference below.
1. Option A
2. Option B
3. Option C
4. No PreferenceExpected Functionality:
If "No Preference" is selected, I want to skip to the end of the form.If "Option A" is selected, I want to skip to a specific question. The same is…
